Not too great of a day…

January 31, 2007

Made $100 in 2200 hands and half that came from bonus $.  During my first 1500 hands I really though I was down ALOT.  I swore I was down $700-$1000, but when I checked I was only down $150.  I was done too, right after I c/r AI on the turn with top set to see opponent river higher set.  But once I found out I was only down $150 I decided to at least play 2k hands for the day.  I think if I can get 50k hands in a month at the $100NL level I’ll make $2k from rakeback.  If I got that I would rarely withdraw any more.  Well, I would, but only about $1k more until I was at 2/4 at least.  I also have quite a chunk coming to me soon too, so I really wouldn’t need to withdraw, but I still want to increase my overall bankroll ( life bankroll ) from poker.  I doubt I’ll get the 50k hands in next month because I’m going to Tahoe ro Reno to party/gamble for 3+ days.  Plus I have a few big projects around the house that I need to finish/start & finish.

Ouch, playing $100NL on UB

January 29, 2007

Well, won $160 in like 45 minutes on FTP.  Cool, went to the gym and when I got back according to PT I lost $525 on UB!  Owwwww…    Anyways, turns out I lost $320 or so on UB so a -$160 or so day.  UB was so frustrating – I swear I played good but……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

http://www.pokerhand.org/?771184  So frustrating!  I was opening and closong some tables to find more profitabe ones to play.  I though I folded and I’m looking at the table and see what happened.

 Here’s the other: http://www.pokerhand.org/?771188  Once I 3-bet I figured I might as well c bet.

So where’d I end up, +$350 in 2500 hands.  I’m fine with that, esp. since it should have been $100 more.  If anyone wants me topost links to hands leave me a message of what hands you want to see; my biggest winners, most misplayed hands or difficult spots (difficult spots are usually posted on pokerdynasty.net)

I think the O8 $50NL games on FTP can be very profitable! And fun, but full of variance! I’m up $150 right now form calling stupid pushes. TT44 just 3 bet AI against my AAxx raise. Short Handed is reallly fun – at least against these donks!

Bad Day!

January 26, 2007

-$200 playing $100NL HU against weaker oppenents.  -$250 playing Razz from the river and being totally card dead for 2 hours.  And -$60 playing in a dumb coin flip sng – 200/400 blinds with 9 left, every one pushing or folding, how stupid of a game.  So – like $500 all on Full Tilt.  That’s -$900 in two days….   rrrrrrrrrrr, so frustrating!

Equal -$500 or so!  Frustrating 2 hours on UB.  It sucks losing what on average will take 2 days or so to win back.  I can’t complain too much, as it is only my second losing day of the month!  I hate losing though.  PT says I only played 935 hands, but I played for over 2 hours on UB so that just seems WAY off compared to usual.

I got PAHUD  to work again, but I have to use Access databases for PT.  So I guess it’s another postgreSQL problem I’m having that PT support thinks may be my hard drive going out.

(edit)  Just played for an hour and won back $100 or so – but PT says I lost $10 and only played 300 hands, wtf?

I had preferences for just a few days where I imported into the wrong database.

Now today I was ready to get a nice 2k+ hand session in and PAHUD won’t work right. —- http://pokeracesoftware.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4295   —-.  I don’t know what to do, everything is set up right, I’ve checked all so many times.  I think it all stems down to why I was having severe DB errors before.  Pat says I may have a bad hard drive and that’s why my databases were messed up.

Another thing, I had $1k in Neteller that I withdrew over a week ago and guess what?  It’s gone!  Okay, joking, but they say it’ll be another 2-3 weeks.  I asked if I move to Canada will things be back to normal and they said I’d just have to send them some proof that I reside there – bill or something.  That really doesn’t seem to hard to get, but I know no one in Canada….

 (edit)

Playing HU on FTP on the $100 tables.  Up like $175 after being down $100+.  Willl not stop until I get $75 more.  That’ll make $2k on FTP and I’ll start playing the HU tables or 1/2 6max.  HU is so fun!  I can play it decent drunk or high!  there seems to be good game selection here on FTP soaybe I should play some HU every day???

I’ts gone!  There’s some UB stats in it and that’s all!  I think I backed up the UB database twice and restored it as the FTP one!  I’m trying to restore from 3 days ago again, so hopefully that’ll work.  But I’ve been dataming FTP the last 3 days and those stats aren’t showing up either.

Poker, won $200 Saturday and haven’t played since.

+ $200+ in 12oo hands for the most part.  Besides that I suck at hoem game tournies!  I got like 10th place out of like 18 tonight.  Maybe I just suck at tournies!  I don’t know, but I’, up about $2500 for the month so far.  I’ve withdrawn $1k of that since it was sitting in Neteller.  As soon as it hits my bank account I’m shipping $650 of it to UB to get a reload though.

I guess mansion Poker quit taking US customers now too – cowards!  The US government is a bunch of scandalous pieces of shit if you ask me!  Trying to punish people for playing online poker, get real!  The US is getting pathetic!  I really wouldn’t mind moving…

Decent day!

January 20, 2007

$336 in 1300 Hands!  Plus I played QQ horrible post flop right before I quit that would have won me anohter $55 or so.

I got PT/PAHUD to run good again last night.  Oh, I also played some last night drunk and somehow won $100+ playing a $50HU sng (won), $30 sng (lost, don’t remember how…  Lol..), $2/$4 Razz (+$20), some .5/1 Mixed Games (-$10) and soem $100NL 6max (+$100).

I need to get used to my new schedule.  I bought my girlfriend’s son a membership at the gym so now I work out in the evening after he gets off work.  I think this will work out better because I’ll get an occaisonal moring session in now and still hit it hard for 2-3 hours most nights.

didn’t play.  I have to do this to get PT working again:

OK, here is what you should do.

1. In Poker Tracker, open the File > Maintain Database Names window. Remove the entries for these 2 PostgreSQL databases. Just click on one of them and click Remove. Do the same for the other. Make sure that the “Dflt” database is one of your old Access database.

2. Make sure you have these .backup files saved somewhere safe.

Also, I would ZIP the entire c:\program files\postgresql\8.0\data folder and make a backup of it to be really safe.

3. Uninstall PostgreSQL using the Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs window.

4. Delete the remnants of the c:\program files\postgresql folder afterwards.

5. From the Start menu select Run. Type COMMAND into the field and hit the OK button to open a DOS window. On that window type:

net user postgres /delete

and hit the ENTER key.

Then type EXIT to close the DOS window.

6. Make sure you have the latest version of PT installed – www.pokertracker.com/patch.html

7. Now, download and reinstall PostgreSQL following these directions…

http://www.pokertracker.com/pgsqlinstall.html - there is a link in the first sentence for v8.2.1 of PostgreSQL you should install.

8. After PostgreSQL is installed open the Utilities > PostgreSQL Settings window and make sure the settings are correct. In the “ODBC Entry To Use” field select “PostgreSQL Unicode”.

9. Now, go to the Utilities > PostgreSQL Database Functions window. Click the “If you are prompted for a password….” link at the bottom of the window and make the change to the .conf file detailed there. Then click the Browse button and choose one of your .backup files you created. Then click the Restore button and wait for it to finish restoring the database. After this, do the same thing with the other .backup file.

10. Once the restores are done, go back to the File > Maintain Database Names window and click the Add button. In the last field, choose “Select existing PostgreSQL database” from the last field and on the window that opens, select one of the databases. Do the same thing for the second database then click OK when this is done to save.

11. Back to the Utilities > PostgreSQL Database Functions window, select one db from the list at the top left corner of the window and do a vacuum/analyze on it. Do the same thing with the second db when it finishes.

Now you are ready to start using them.

Continue to make frequent backups of the databases.

If this kind of error comes back it really may mean there is a problem with the hard disk that you might have to consider.

I think it is my hard drive, as my computer turns itself off!  Just boughth this f@#king thing 6 months ago.  HP’s suck!
